Author and freelance recipe writer


Susanna grew up in Somerset before studying Colour and Polymer Chemistry at the University of Leeds. Graduating with a 2.1 BSc Honours degree, she worked briefly for a paper manufacturer before beginning a career in journalism. For over 15 years she has written for a variety of business and lifestyle titles including DIY Week, Housewares, Eurostar's Metropolitan magazine and The Guardian.


She has always been a keen cook, with a particular interest in recipe creation. In 2009 she decided to focus on the 'free-from' market and to use her passion for food, chemistry and writing to create innovative recipes. A member of the Guild of Food Writers, Susanna has worked as a columnist for The Guardian's Cook supplement creating tasty recipes suitable for a wide spectrum of free from diets. She has also worked as a consultant and recipe writer for a number of well known brands.
